This Strogonoff sirloin recipe does not require you to be a gastronomy guru. It's easy to make and very delicious.

The pork is as good as it gets. People usually prepare it fried or in the oven. But you can make excellent dishes of pork stew. You can also use it for meat dumplings, for empanadas or, as in this recipe, to make a nice strogonoff .

What is the origin of the strogonoff?

Well, actually this dish is called stroganoff and it's of Russian origin.

It was sautéed beef that included mustard and was served with a bit of sour cream. No mushrooms and no onions.

Over the years the recipe was mutated to the versions we know today.

It is usually served on pasta or on white rice , as in this case.

You can make stroganoff of beef or pork. In this recipe we are going to use pork.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams of pork tenderloin stew
  • 100 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion
  • ¼ of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 stream of white wine
  • 2 spoonfuls of cream
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A few leaves of coriander

Preparation:

First, marinate the pork with salt and cumin.

In a large pot or pan fry in this order: first the onion, then the pepper and finally the mushrooms. Add a stream of white wine, let the alcohol evaporate and reserve these ingredients.

In the same pot (or pan), add another bit of oil and fry the pieces of meat until they are well sealed on all sides. Let cook a few extra minutes.

Add the previously reserved onion, pepper and mushrooms. Stir a couple of minutes and add the Dijon mustard.

Add a cup of water, or if you have, a cup of meat broth. When it begins to boil, which will be almost instantly, put a pinch of salt and pepper, lower the heat and cover.

Let cook for more than half an hour so that the meat is very soft. p>

If the broth is Dry a lot, add more liquid. Check the salt.

When ready, remove from heat and add the cream. Mix well.

Serve on the plate on a bed of white rice.

Add chopped coriander on top, and enjoy.
